Now see, if I called Fox News the "Fascists On Xanax" News network, I'd get flamed.

Run, Sir Clark, Run...
by teejay inif he runs, he will be the most qualified of all those who now aspire to the office in 2004. if he runs, general wesley k. clark (ret.
) will be the second most qualified person to ever seek the presidency of the u.s. over the past 100 years, second only to the great william jefferson cliinton.
what follows are excerpts from an article about him in a recent esquire magazine.. he is a remarkable man with an unassailable integrity -- the kind of man that has all the little bushites shaking in their boots.

Bowling for Columbine
by drwtsn32 ini just watched this documentary tonight and enjoyed it.
it's amazing to me the number of gun-related murders in the us... over 11,000 in one year.
i don't remember the exact figure, but canada, japan, and germany combined had less than 500 gun-related murders.

Hopefully I can politely point this out without anyone thinking I'm callin' their mama names...
http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/08/09/heston.illness/ Posted August 9, 2002, this story indicates that on Friday, Charlton Heston announced via a videotape that he is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The story mentions Friday, btw - August 9th, 2002, was a Firday, so it might have been the 2nd...don't know.
Bowling for Columbine opened at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2002, and in theatres in October 2002.
While it looks bad in retrospect, we have no evidence to assume that Moore knew something about Heston's condition that was not common knowledge, and that Heston had not announced publicly. It's not unrealistic to say that Heston probably felt forced to reveal his condition as a response to the May Cannes screening of the film - otherwise, he had no reason to speak out about it.
Peace, out.

A World Without Suffering Posted Model
by frankiespeakin ina world without suffering
let's make an imaginary model, a world without suffering.
the consequences would be far-reaching.. and for example if no one could ever injure anyone else, the would be murderers knife would turn to paper or his bullets to thin air.. or take for example the mountain climber, or steeplejack, or the playing child falling from a height, would float unharmed to the ground.. the reckless driver would never meet with disaster.

OK, dude, here is the FREE link to Candide (copyright having expired:) Now you can read the whole thing for free! A classic for the ages - can't say I never gave ya nuthin'.

Here's a snippet (don't worry, it's short!)
Master Pangloss taught the metaphysico-theologo-cosmolonigology. He could prove to admiration that there is no effect without a cause; and, that in this best of all possible worlds, the Baron's castle was the most magnificent of all castles, and My Lady the best of all possible baronesses.
"It is demonstrable," said he, "that things cannot be otherwise than as they are; for as all things have been created for some end, they must necessarily be created for the best end. Observe, for instance, the nose is formed for spectacles, therefore we wear spectacles. The legs are visibly designed for stockings, accordingly we wear stockings. Stones were made to be hewn and to construct castles, therefore My Lord has a magnificent castle; for the greatest baron in the province ought to be the best lodged. Swine were intended to be eaten, therefore we eat pork all the year round: and they, who assert that everything is right, do not express themselves correctly; they should say that everything is best."

Hey, if I'm not involved in it, I usually can't follow it - people who are pissed off can't type for crap, nor compose sentences neither.

OK, well I think that we often mortgage the present to try to take care of a future that never comes, and we ignore a thousand moments while we're trying to get the future right.
Be here now.

Your Online Persona
by Xena ini saw a thread recently that asked if you were different from your online persona, most people answered to varying degrees "no".
that made me wonder though how do you view yourself and how do other people view you?
what kind of a person do you feel you project?

Does the Soul continue to Exist after the Death of the Body?
by Blueblades in.
do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.rather be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell....the words of jesus at matthew 10:28. so,according to jesus, the soul does exist after the death of the body.but in order not to be destroyed you must fear the one who can destroy your soul.. what a way to live!.

The locking of threads.
by seven006 init seems like there is a little fire starting to burn here on the subject of locking threads.
iv been on this board a long time and on average have only seen about one out of every 200 threads locked.
those who have their threads locked take it very personal, that's understandable.

My efforts to "wake up" those that I decided needed to wake up have never worked out... because they don't really need to... someday he will feel like an ass for some of the things he said here, and so will I, and so on...
Peace,

One thing I forgot...
If you really beleive that a book can bring evil into your house, you arguing with JW's sounds pretty entertaining.
It's a fricking book, man.
